Reddit integration
HF Signal is a non-commercial editorial tool. It uses Reddit only to submit a human-reviewed self-post to the owner-operated u_HF_Signal profile after an administrator explicitly approves that exact item.
Human-approved workflow
Select a source
An administrator chooses a HackForums thread for editorial consideration. HF Signal does not collect Reddit posts, comments, messages, votes, or third-party user data.
Review every detail
The administrator reviews and can edit the title, source attribution, summary, and original thread link. The item can be rejected without contacting Reddit.
Approve one item
A separate human approval is required for each thread. HF Signal does not schedule autonomous Reddit posts, vote, comment, message users, or perform moderation actions.
Submit once
The approved content is submitted as one self-post to u_HF_Signal. HF Signal does not cross-post to third-party subreddits and prevents duplicate delivery of the same item.
Record the result
HF Signal retains the returned post identifier, URL, delivery status, and timestamp for duplicate prevention and an operational audit trail.

HF Signal does not request Reddit's read scope and does not access feeds, subreddit content, comments, private messages, moderation data, analytics, or voting features.
Security and current status
OAuth credentials and tokens are encrypted server-side and are never exposed in browser code or public logs.
The owner can disconnect Reddit in HF Signal and revoke authorization from Reddit. Disconnecting deletes the stored OAuth tokens.
Reddit Data API publishing remains disabled until Reddit grants explicit access. The manual composer fallback remains available while review is pending.
Production use will follow Reddit's app-account labeling, rate-limit, content, developer, and Responsible Builder requirements.
