Connected publishing service

TikTok integration

HF Signal connects a creator through TikTok Login Kit and submits an editor-approved video only after that creator reviews every available publishing choice and explicitly consents.

End-to-end publishing workflow

  1. Connect the creator

TikTok displays its authorization screen. HF Signal requests only the basic profile permission needed to identify the connected creator and the Direct Post permission needed for creator-approved publishing.

  2. Prepare an original highlight

An editor verifies the source, context, attribution, rights, caption, and generated short-form video. The item can be edited, held for review, or rejected.

  3. Review TikTok settings

HF Signal retrieves the creator's current visibility and interaction options from TikTok. No visibility is preselected, and unavailable choices remain disabled.

  4. Give explicit consent

The creator previews the exact video, edits the caption, chooses visibility, comments, Duet, Stitch, disclosures, and confirms content and music rights before selecting Post to TikTok.

  5. Upload and track the result

HF Signal initializes one Direct Post, uploads the approved MP4 to TikTok's one-time upload address, and checks processing status until TikTok reports completion or a visible failure.

Permissions used

user.info.basic
Shows the connected creator's TikTok identity on the review screen.
video.publish
Publishes only the exact video and settings approved by the creator.

HF Signal does not need TikTok's draft-upload permission, video library, analytics, follower list, messages, or advertising data.

Security and account control

OAuth credentials and tokens are encrypted server-side and are never exposed in browser code or public logs.

A creator can disconnect TikTok from HF Signal or revoke access directly in TikTok's authorized-app settings.

Publication records prevent duplicate delivery and preserve a clear operational audit trail.
